CTGB approval for OnicBlue

April 11, 2026 | From the editors

OnicBlue is the first in the Netherlands to receive CTGB approval. This authorization, issued by the Board for the Authorization of Plant Protection Products and Biocides (CTGB), is a milestone for the company. After an intensive certification process lasting more than seven years, the effectiveness and safety of its chlorine dioxide technology has now been officially recognized.

OnicBlue's technology uses chlorine dioxide to combat Legionella in collective drinking water systems. By adding minimal amounts of chlorine dioxide to the drinking water, Legionella can be effectively controlled while simultaneously minimizing its impact on the environment. This contributes to the safety of drinking water for consumers.

The CTGB approval confirms the company's commitment to providing high-quality, certified solutions for Legionella prevention. The CTGB approval aligns with OnicBlue's commitment to continuous innovation and maintaining the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
