Voestalpine Automotive Components Bunschoten took a step toward sustainability with the implementation of LED lighting. This project, carried out by Saled Nederland, has resulted in significant energy savings and an improved working environment.
Switching to LED lighting will save Voestalpine an impressive 3.000.000 kWh per year. This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 990 households. The resulting CO2 reduction is comparable to planting thousands of trees.
Before the transition, the lights were on continuously, which led to unnecessary energy consumption. With the new smart lighting The system now only turns on the lighting during working hours and is linked to motion sensors. This minimizes energy loss without compromising working comfort.
A total of 43 kilometers of LED linear lighting was installed by a team of four technicians over a period of 16 months. Voestalpine selected Saled Nederland for a comprehensive lighting plan that perfectly matched their needs.
The collaboration between Saled and Voestalpine was perceived as professional and accessible. Giel van Driel and Bert Koelewijn of Voestalpine emphasize that the project was implemented without any interruption to production. With this, Saled Nederland not only contributed to the sustainability of the industry but also to the local economy.
