OnicBlue uses a Full Circle Solutionconcept. This includes several steps that together ensure an integrated approach to Legionella prevention:
- Risk analysis: Every collaboration begins with a detailed risk analysis in accordance with BRL 6010. This involves a complete assessment of the water supply system to identify risk points.
- Management plan: Based on the risk analysis, a chlorine dioxide management plan is developed. This plan includes flushing, temperature measurements, and periodic sampling.
- Zero-level cleaning: Before installing the chlorine dioxide generator, a "zero-level cleaning" is performed. This means that the entire drinking water system is cleaned and disinfected to remove biofilm and unwanted bacteria.
- Generator installation: The OnicBlue Chlorine Dioxide generator is installed behind the water meter and adds a minimal amount of ClO2 to the drinking water.
- Maintenance: Our service team visits at least four times a year for maintenance to ensure the generator's continued operation.
The OnicBlue ClO2 generator works as follows. It is installed downstream of the water meter. As soon as the tap water passes the meter, the dosing pump is activated to add a controlled amount of chlorine dioxide to the drinking water. The chlorine dioxide concentration in the water is continuously monitored, guaranteeing a safe, odorless, colorless, and tasteless solution. This effectively combats Legionella in pipes, even in "dead spots" where stagnant water can form.
