GSS Locks, experts in security cylinders and keys

February 10, 2026 | From the editors

GSS Locks is an expert in security solutions. With its SKG3 certified cylinders and technically registered keys, the company offers high-quality protection against burglary and illegal copying. SKG3 quality mark stands for 'Foundation for Quality Facade Construction', a commonly used quality mark in the Netherlands that guarantees the security of locks and cylinders. A SKG3 cylinder is rigorously tested for core pulling, drilling and manipulation.

GSS Locks' expertise is based on the innovative features of its products and the use of technically protective keys. These keys are equipped with floating components that play a key role in security. These moving components make it virtually impossible for unauthorized persons to copy keys. If someone attempts to copy a key, the unique configuration of these components will cause the process to fail. This makes it difficult for a locksmith or even modern methods like 3D printers to create an exact copy.

GSS Locks offers various types of cylinders, each with its own level of security:
  • The KeylocX is a SKG3 Certified security system. It uses keyhole keys with a moving part. The combination of brass pawls and steel pins ensures that the cylinders are protected against drilling, milling, and core pulling.
  • The LocXis ST is a very high-security version. Like the KeylocX, this system uses keyhole keys, but with two moving parts. This further enhances burglary protection.
  • The LocXis+ is a cylinder with a steel bridge. This makes the cylinder even more secure and more resistant to burglary methods such as core pulling.

A certified key can, of course, be easily duplicated, provided a valid certificate is presented. This certificate proves ownership of the key and is a requirement for duplication.
