The Facility Management & Building Management trade fair targets those responsible for facility management and/or building management within their organizations across all sectors. This applies whether to non-residential buildings for healthcare, government, or education, or to museums, residential buildings, or commercial buildings. It does not matter whether these activities are performed in-house, outsourced, or in collaboration with other organizations. Nor does it matter whether the work is carried out for their own staff, visitors, or guests. Regardless of the area within the organization where it takes place, at which level, over what timeframe, to what extent, or with what desired result, facility and/or building management is always relevant. The areas in which this support of the primary process takes place are equally diverse. They range from visitor registration and sun blinds to security and relocations; and everything in between. They can be one-time or recurring, or relate to organizational processes, the building, production, facilities, workplaces, or the (work) environment.
Diverse sectors
Although the starting points differ for many sectors, much of the work in the field of facility and building management is often recognizable to everyone. The emphasis in the cultural sector differs from that in retail, and that of healthcare institutions differs from that of educational institutions. However, facility services, or building management, often amount to broadly the same thing when compared. This is precisely why the Facilitair & Gebouwbeheer trade fair has legitimized itself for more than a quarter of a century. Since its first edition in January 1999, this oldest event for facility services and building management has brought together thousands of suppliers and seekers every year for the exchange of knowledge, information, innovations, and/or advice regarding facility and building management. To highlight the differences in emphasis between the sectors, the organizers of the Facilities & Building Management trade fair give each sector its own 'face'. Through adapted content for contributions in both the section From participants as the trade fair themes en visitor interests. To emphasize the specific approach taken by those (co-)responsible in the various sectors. Based on the assumption that both visitors and participants sometimes have a need for this.
