Following a long-standing tradition, the trade fair organizers host knowledge sessions every day of the fair. They provide sector experts with the opportunity to share their knowledge with visitors. For the 28th edition , the decision was made to hold these sessions not only from the perspectives of the fair themes but also from the sectoral perspectives . In the run-up to the trade fair, this creates a valuable program of knowledge sessions (see the overview below), presented by experienced professionals.
Visitors attend all knowledge sessions free of charge. In exchange for the knowledge gained, the organization scans all visitors attending a meeting. The trade fair organizer then shares the lists of these attendees only with the participant who arranged the speaker. Visitors attending multiple knowledge sessions will therefore appear on multiple lists.
Quality
To ensure the highest possible quality of the knowledge sessions offered, they must comply with the knowledge session guidelines. These guidelines were compiled by the trade fair organization to provide visitors with maximum assurance that the knowledge sessions are of sufficient substantive value. A committee chaired by Henny Brullemans, a member of the editorial team of the Facilitair Journaal, assesses the content of the offered knowledge sessions based on these guidelines, with the premise that the sessions also facilitate knowledge transfer.
Knowledge sessions
The knowledge sessions take place in separate rooms on the exhibition floor. Speakers are allocated approximately 20 minutes of speaking time, followed by 5 minutes for questions/discussion. After this, 5 minutes have been allocated between two knowledge sessions to seat new visitors, provide them with a headset , and scan them. Speakers use this time to set up the lectern with the screen.
With the increase in offerings on the exhibition floor, the program of knowledge sessions is also expanding. Each listing is structured so that anyone wishing to learn about a topic or connect with a participant or speaker will find sufficient information in the description. In this way, the knowledge sessions fulfill the function of knowledge sharing not only on the exhibition floor, but already from the publication of the announcement on this website.
