Predictive control: lower energy consumption, more comfort

Tuesday, June 2, 3:00 PM, Room 2
Speaker: Dick Timmermans
Organization: Entune

Traditionally controlled building systems consume more energy than necessary because they only react after the fact. With the help of smart software, it is possible to set up predictive consumption that ensures the correct usage, for example, every 3 minutes. This makes it possible to have existing building systems for heating, cooling, and ventilation use exactly the right amount of energy. The result is improved comfort and a lower energy bill for the entire building.

In this presentation, Dick Timmermans of Entune explains how this approach works and why there is currently no better sustainability measure. With results such as:

– 10–20% Lower energy consumption;
– Reduced peak loads (anti-congestion);
– Noticeably better comfort for users;
– A payback period that is often less than 12 months.
