Subsidy for new charging infrastructure companies

April 14, 2026 | From the editors

The Subsidy Scheme for Private Charging Infrastructure for Businesses (SPRILA) is a program for organizations that want to invest in charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. This subsidy scheme offers financial support for the installation of charging points on private or rented land. The scheme is aimed at stimulating the transition to electric mobility within the business sector.

Businesses eligible for SPRILA must be registered with the Chamber of Commerce and established in the Netherlands. This includes a range of organizations, from corporations to healthcare institutions and associations, as long as they conduct economic activities.

The scheme is intended for businesses who want to install charging infrastructure for their own use, or for employees and customers who own electric vehicles. Public transport concessionaires are also welcome to submit an application.

Subsidy amounts vary depending on the type of charging station and its organizational structure. SMEs can expect higher subsidies than large companies. For example, the subsidy for an AC charging station with an 11 kW capacity can reach up to €800 for a medium-sized or small business.

Important data

The SPRILA application period runs from January 20, 2026, to December 18, 2026. The total budget for this program is €87,5 million. It is recommended to submit an application early, as available funds are limited.
