Custom lighting with a unique design

May 19, 2026 | From the editors

For the lighting of Tower Ten at the World Trade Center Amsterdam, the custom work by ETAP Lighting provided the desired solution.
Client CBRE desired maximum flexibility because each floor is suitable for one or more tenants. A floor must therefore be able to be divided into different compartments without compromising the quality and comfort of the lighting.

ETAP proposed a custom solution based on the U7 recessed luminaire, integrated and adapted to the grid patterns in the climate ceiling. Visually, this creates continuous lines with the rounded shapes of the U7 series. Since the luminaires are the same color as the ceiling, there is seamless integration of the lighting. The ventilation system uses the lighting fixtures for air extraction.
Tower Ten is a state-of-the-art building in every respect. The building was completed with a BREEAM-NL Excellent New Construction certificate for energy sustainability and for sustainability aspects such as ecology, water, and health, including indoor climate, ventilation, and lighting.

The building's high environmental performance is aimed at minimizing the building's environmental impact. This certification qualifies a building for integral sustainability, with requirements exceeding those prescribed by law. Many different links contribute to this outstanding report. ETAP's expertise, customization, and sustainable lighting solutions have a direct impact on energy consumption and the energy score.
